BVA Careers Development - Gallery Suite 23/24

I will be discussing with delegates the choices that led me to my current role as a zoo vet and manager of our veterinary team. I will cover the various choices along my career path that helped me to get to where I am now, and describe other potential avenues that people have available to them when aiming to get involved with wildlife work. I will give delegates a flavour of what being a zoo vet entails day-to-day and some pros and cons of this sort of work. I will give suggestions of what aspiring zoo vets can do to give them the best possible chance of getting clinical roles in zoos.
