In this session, delegates will gain confidence in dealing with dogs and cats with acute and chronic respiratory conditions. A number of practical case examples will address topics like the negative effects of salbutamol in some felines, using household gadgets to improve the quality of life of the asthmatic, the do’s and don’ts of nebulisation, the don'ts and don’ts of antibiotic choice for pneumonia. After this lecture, delegates should be more confident in performing a broncho-alveolar lavage in most respiratory patients, including the technical aspects of acquiring a high-quality sample, safely. A series of videos will be used to train delegates in the observation of respiratory patterns and how they can help diagnose the problem. Expect interaction and lots of practical tips.
