This session will consider the development of human-directed aggression in dogs and will consider emotional, environmental, and health-related factors within the behavioural diagnosis. It will go on to offer suggestions relating to how we may manage and treat these issues with both animal and human safety and welfare prioritised.
The session will include consideration of both immediate, safety and welfare-led, behavioural first aid and longer-term treatment of these issues.

Appraise emotional, environmental, and health-related contributors to the performance of human-directed aggression in dogs,
Evaluate short- and long-term treatment strategies to improve safety, welfare and behavioural responses in these dogs.
