How can we move forward with LGBT+ equality?

The last decade has seen fundamental progress made towards LGBT+ equality in the UK and around the world but despite many positive changes, hate is still present in the media and on the streets. There are still those that don’t feel safe enough to be themselves openly in the workplace, in the veterinary professions, and when messages for LGBT+ support are displayed for Pride Month or LGBT+ History Month, there are still those that respond with ignorance or malice. It’s time to come together as a community and as allies to discuss what next steps we can take to strive for LGBT+ inclusivity in our profession.
