We will discuss in detail skin cytology using impression smears, fine needle aspirates and tape preparations, superficial and deep skin scrapings and trichograms. This includes the material needed, the most effective techniques, and of course how to interpret the results in the clinical context of a specific patient and the influence on therapeutic decisions for various skin diseases.
