Joint supplement 'Green Flags': How to distinguish between the good and the bad

Discussions around supplements may seem like a unnecessary part of a clinical conversation - but there are numerous reasons why it should be included.
From naturalistic fallacy, to caregiver placebo and even treatment plan compliance, if we engage with owners and support them in making sensible, evidence based decisions and don't appear dismissive of their beliefs or wishes then they may also be more inclined to work synergistically on a holistic, evidence based treatment plan.
By actively showing enthusiasm and engagement we can support and guide our clients to make better decisions.
In order to do this we need to assess the evidence base ourselves, and we need to understand what the 'green flags' are for supplement companies, and any possible 'red flags'.
This engaging session aims to cover just this! So please join Robyn and uncover the best way to create a care plan where the client has great trust and rapport with the veterinary team and feels supported in critical thinking and decision making in their pets health.

Learning Outcomes
1) Why conversations around supplements are an essential part of the clinical history and discussion. 2) What's the evidence based for joint supplements 3) What are the 'green flag' for a ethical supplement company?
