The session will cover a brief over view of the clinically relevant microbiology and pathophysiology of strep equi. The initial diagnosis of an outbreak and the complexities of communication to the relevant stakeholders. Formulating a battle plan and then implementing. Resolving an outbreak including identifying and treatment of long-term carriers. Then how to equip yards to prevent outbreaks in the future.
