During this VECCS/EVECC international ECC session aimed at RVN’s caring for patients with respiratory concerns. we will discuss how to recognise when oxygen therapy should be started, understanding what options are available to provide oxygen therapy and what nursing techniques should be put into place whilst nursing these patients.

Learning Outcomes
Understand the options available for delivering oxygen therapy and when they are appropriate. Recognise when to start/escalate your patients oxygen therapy. Consider the nursing care of respiratory patients receiving high flow nasal oxygen and mechanical ventilation.
