The award and prize of ‘Parasite Control Champion of the Year’ was the idea of Prof. Hany Elsheikha, Head of ESCCAP UK & Ireland. One of our aims is to provide veterinary and animal care professionals, along with pet owners, the information and tools they need to effectively protect companion animals from parasitic threats in the UK and Ireland.  We want to recognise this work carried out by veterinary professionals and to hear about the innovative strategies undertaken across the field, promoting responsible parasite control in pets.  Come and learn how one of our members Philippa Richmond, also a veterinary nurse, works with pet owners day to day.  Our winner will then present their innovation about what led them to be our first award winner.  A presentation will follow at the end of the session.
