This presentation will delve into the differences between seizures and syncope in dogs, aiming to equip the veterinary professional with the knowledge and confidence to tell these conditions apart. We will look at the definitions and mechanisms behind these conditions; use videos to analyse the presenting clinical signs and discuss the diagnostic approach to these often challenging cases.
By the end of the presentation, attendees will have a clearer understanding of the pathogenesis of the conditions, have confidence in how to determine between these events based on collecting a targeted clinical history and from reviewing video footage, and be able to select the relevant clinical investigations.
