Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a technique we never want to have to use, but to have the best possible outcome for our patients, the entire veterinary team needs to have rehearsed this technique and be ready to use it in an emergency setting. In this lecture we will review the RECOVER guidelines in veterinary CPR and provide a practical approach to using them in emergency situations. Both basic life support and more advanced life support techniques will be discussed.

• Understand how to perform advanced life support techniques
