The Vet Record Debate: People or pets - whose needs should take priority?

Ethical dilemmas can arise due to the different value afforded to the lives of humans and non-human animals. Human society's focus is typically anthropocentric (putting human interests first), but high standards of animal welfare are also valued and desired. The session will explore how veterinary professionals can be effective animal welfare advocates, ensuring that animal interests and human needs and wants are justifiably balanced.
