In today’s veterinary profession, more people than ever are looking for flexibility, remote work, and side gigs that align with their clinical skills but also offer autonomy, creative freedom, and financial stability. VSGD, in collaboration with VetYou, proposes a dynamic, interactive Community Mastermind at the London Vet Show to address this need.
Insights from this session will help create support offerings for the communities such as guides, workshops, mentoring opportunities, memberships that include curated job listings and more
This mastermind will explore the community pain points and highlight some of the tools, mindset, and strategies they need to launch their own consulting services, secure remote roles, or create flexible income streams alongside clinical practice.
Our goal is to help veterinary professionals transition from a push mindset—where they feel they are at the mercy of circumstances—into a pull mindset, where they proactively create opportunities that align with their strengths, goals, and lifestyles. This mastermind will also serve as a pilot for a future workshop or coaching series that supports veterinary professionals in their quest for flexibility and growth.

- From Push to Pull: Shifting Your Mentality to Opportunity Creation: Realise when in push or pull. How to use your push mentality to form your pull. Begin to build your theme and function by extracting your strengths and packaging them into a compelling personal brand that attracts clients or remote employers.
- Setting Yourself Up for Financial Success: Understand the financial foundation needed for a consulting gig or side hustle, including pricing, budgeting, and planning for growth. Or perhaps you are looking for investment/loan into an idea that you want to bring to fruition.
- Finding Work When None Is Advertised: Securing Clients and Getting Recommendations: Learn effective strategies to find and retain clients, from networking to building a reputation for excellence and gaining recommendations. Discover creative ways to uncover hidden opportunities in the veterinary world, from cold outreach to leveraging online platforms and communities.
