Using data to improve health and performance on dairy herds: Where do I start?
This session will cover the basics of using dairy herd data to support veterinary consultancy activity on farm. Discussion will include what data is required, where this can be found and how to access it, as well as the different options for performing analysis. Some of the key measures of performance will be highlighted across key areas (e.g. fertility, udder, foot and youngstock health). Examples of how this process is useful will be included, as well as a discussion of some of the pitfalls, and ideas for how to fit this alongside other clinical activities.
