Who has a better prognosis after they were diagnosed with canine mast cell tumour- Sigi or Joy?
Mast cell tumors are the most common cutaneous tumors that we see in dogs. Most of the mast cell tumors that you see as clinicians are small, cutaneous tumors that are removed surgically with no evidence of local metastasis. The biopsy results are a low-grade tumor and the dogs are sent home with an excellent prognosis. However, some of the dogs we see have multiple tumors, or lymph node metastasis, or even distant metastasis. How should we treat these dogs and what is their prognosis?? We will discuss different cases of mast cell tumors, and treatment options and prognosis in each case.
