This lecture will focus on the role of RVNs when supporting medical and diagnostic procedures, relevant to both first opinion and referral nursing. It will look at how we as RVNs can advance our skills, creating a nurse-led approach to patient care and strengthening the nurse-vet relationship.

  • Gain insight into the different medical and diagnostic procedures RVNs can perform under Schedule 3 and how this can benefit both patient and practice.
  • Understand the supporting role of an RVN during these procedures and how we can best utilise RVN skills with real life cases.
