This debate will explore how the veterinary profession can reduce its environmental impact while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
Speakers will discuss practical steps to measure and manage carbon emissions and waste, manage resources and medicines responsibly, and make sustainable choices in everyday practice. Speakers will discuss the priority areas and encourage the vet professions to take advantage of the opportunities we have to make a real difference to mitigate environmental damage and climate change.
The session will highlight examples of greener approaches, consider barriers to change, and invite delegates to share ideas on how to balance animal welfare, client needs, and environmental responsibility.
