This practical session will start with the opportunity to review the architecture of the liver, gallbladder and biliary tree entering the duodenum. The gallbladder can then be removal of the gall bladder by gentle dissection from the quadrate lobe of the liver and ligatured at the level of the cystic duct. Indications and techniques for cannulating the common bile duct and obtaining liver biopsies will be explored. Tips for expose of these cranial organs and haemostasis will be discussed throughout.
