Join me as I share insights from my journey transitioning from veterinarian to entrepreneur, and how these two worlds intersect to drive practical innovation. While veterinary training emphasises patient care, I discovered that core skills such as problem‑solving, empathy and a commitment to continuous improvement also form the foundation for building impactful businesses. Crucially, I’ll explore how working as a locum can provide a low‑risk runway to entrepreneurship, giving you flexibility, commercial exposure, stronger professional networks and the cash flow to test ideas before you take the plunge.

Throughout this transition, I faced challenges that forced me to think differently, embrace risk, and grow through failure. Applying lessons from veterinary practice to entrepreneurship opened doors to new opportunities and allowed me to develop solutions that benefit the wider veterinary community.

Whether it's enhancing service delivery, streamlining operations, or improving professional connections, clinical experience can power meaningful innovation.
