HOT TOPIC: The CMA Investigation – where we are and possible implications for the profession

In this session, the BVA Senior Vice President, Liz Mullineaux, will host a Q&S session with Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) inquiry chair Martin Coelman.

This will be followed by a panel discussion, chaired by BVA junior Vice President Gwen Rees, with representatives from veterinary businesses and membership organisations discussing the CMA's recent 'Provisional decisions' and exploring how they might impact veterinary practices. 

  • Understanding the current status of the CMA investigation into veterinary services for household pets.
  • Gain some clarity around the Provisional decisions recently released by the CMA.
  • Understand the potential impacts of the proposed Provisional decisions on veterinary practices.
