Multiplying the outdoors effect
Being part of the veterinary profession is rewarding, but it can also be isolating. Long hours, emotional cases, and constant pressure can take their toll — which is why we’re so passionate about getting outdoors together.
The Veterinary Voices Hiking Group is all about bringing vets, veterinary nurses, and the wider team together to walk, talk, and just be human. Fresh air, good company, and no judgment — because sometimes the best therapy comes with muddy boots and laughter on a hillside.
This year we are running a community mastermind, 9am on Thursday 20th In Gallery Suite 6.
While Paul and Robyn will keep organising larger group hikes, we’d love to see smaller local events springing up across the UK — simple, welcoming meet-ups that build connection, community, and wellbeing.
We’d love to hear from you:
How can we encourage more veterinary professionals across the country to join local walks or meet-ups?
What are the barriers — time, confidence, location, or something else?
Whether it’s a stroll through your local park, a monthly meetup, or a climb up a mountain - we want to see more people making strong connections and friendships.
Sadly, Robyn and Paul cannot attend this Community Mastermind so you will be joined by experienced member Adrian and Veterinary Voices UK's Alison.
