This presentation will provide delegates with a brief overview of normal and impaired kidney anatomy and function in cats and dogs. The main clinical signs and diagnostic steps for cats and dogs with chronic kidney disease (CKD) will then be discussed. The presentation will also focus on how nutrition can help in the management of cats and dogs with CKD, including recommendations for patients at different International Renal Interest Society (IRIS) stages and for patients with multiple conditions.
