There are a variety of reasons why you as an equine practitioner might be called out to a horse with no owner present, from a loose or injured horse on the road to a sick horse in a field. The aim of this presentation is to discuss some of the situations you might find yourself in, what your roles and responsibilities are, and to provide information and support regarding first aid and animal rescue.
