From Clinic to Remote Practice: Rethinking What Veterinary Telemedicine Can Offer
This session explores my personal journey from working in a traditional veterinary clinic to expanding my role into veterinary telemedicine and remote care while continuing to work as a Veterinary Surgeon. Coming from a veterinary family, I will share what this journey looked like and how it has changed the way I apply veterinary knowledge, make clinical decisions, and connect with clients beyond the physical clinic setting.
Through real-world experiences, we will examine what veterinary telemedicine can realistically offer both veterinary professionals and pet owners, from improving accessibility and continuity of care to creating new models of veterinary support. The session will also explore the opportunities and limitations of remote care, and consider whether a blended approach combining clinical practice and digital innovation can become a sustainable part of the future of veterinary medicine.
