How our new specialist care model can work for your practice

19 Nov 2026
Exhibitor Showcase 1

First-opinion teams are increasingly asked to manage complex cases while keeping care affordable, local and continuous. In this interactive case-based session, VIMOS and WeYouVets will guide delegates through real-life small animal cases where the first impression was not the final diagnosis. Using clinical history, imaging findings and live decision points, delegates will choose what they would do next before comparing their reasoning with specialist input. Through different imaging modality cases, the session will explore how multidisciplinary collaboration and remote specialist support can help clinicians make more confident decisions. The focus is practical: how multidisciplinary specialist collaboration can reshape clinical decision-making and create more accessible referral-level care within everyday practice.

  • Interpret imaging findings in clinical context and recognise when the apparent diagnosis may be misleading.
  • Identify key decision points where remote and peripatetic imaging and internal medicine support can change case management while preserving continuity of care.
  • Build a practical next-step plan, including diagnostics, treatment, monitoring, owner communication and referral thresholds.
  • Apply a repeatable scan-to-plan workflow to everyday first-opinion cases.
