This ECC session focuses on the practical skills needed to localise and stabilise patients with different forms dyspnoea. There will be an emphasis on upper respiratory tract emergencies (e.g. BOAS) with tips for difficult intubation, temporary palatopexy and tracheostomy. Pleural space emergencies will be tackled with tips for stress-free thoracocentesis in addition to chest drain placement using ‘low profile’ drains and trocar drains.
