This practical small animal surgery session will focus on surgical management of the lower urinary tract, with emphasis on bladder and urethral procedures commonly encountered in clinical practice. Participants will review relevant anatomy, indications for surgery, and perioperative planning for cystotomy, urethrotomy, and urethrostomy procedures. The session will cover surgical approaches, instrumentation, tissue handling, suture selection, and postoperative management, with discussion of common complications and strategies to optimize patient outcomes.
