The 15th London Vet Show Rocks ExCeL with Record-Breaking Attendance and Unforgettable Moments

The London Vet Show 2024 celebrated 15 years with a spectacular celebration, bringing together thousands of veterinary professionals for two vibrant days dedicated to all things veterinary..

On 14-15 November, the ExCeL London turned into the iconic shade of Vet Show pink as the event welcomed a record-breaking 6512 attendees from 66 countries. The landmark event highlighted the passion, expertise, and dedication of those who work tirelessly to improve animal care.

Harry Norman, Group Event Director for the London Vet Show, said: "The London Vet Show was a truly exceptional celebration of our veterinary profession and the show's 15th anniversary. We put a tremendous amount of effort into organising the event, yet I’m still amazed by the incredible turnout this year, with so many coming together for two days. The appetite for content and collaboration from our delegates, alongside the dedication of our 400 exhibitors, is so inspiring. It’s this energy that motivates our team to keep improving year after year, ensuring we continue to create the perfect space for this remarkable profession to connect."

A Groundbreaking Programme Focused on Innovation and Practical Learning

The world-class conference featured over 425 speakers covering clinical and non-clinical topics from top institutions like the RVC and BVA. Hands-on sessions, including Wet Labs in partnership with Central CPD, were a standout success with extended 90-minute and 4-hour formats.

“The London Vet Show exceeded my expectations. There was so much excitement in the room. All sessions were so well presented. I loved every minute of it.” said Christian de Villiers, Vet at Vets4Pets Colchester

Popular highlights such as the IDEXX Advanced Diagnostics Stream, IVC Evidensia Theatre, Modern Veterinary Practice Theatre, and the Zoetis Learning Academy reaffirmed the London Vet Show as the leading event for cutting-edge knowledge and innovation.

Iona Fahy, RVN at Flynn & O'Connell Veterinary Surgeons confirmed: "It reignites your passion, leaving you refreshed and ready to implement everything you’ve learned over the two days!"

Prof Jill Maddison upheld the 15-year traditions by once again crafting a comprehensive and dynamic schedule addressing key challenges in veterinary medicine.

Keynote speaker Dr Andrew Mackin from Mississippi State University delivered six highly acclaimed sessions, while Temple Grandin and Fear Free drew packed audiences with their expertise in animal behaviour and stress-free handling, emphasising the event’s focus on compassionate care.

“Bigger is better. All you need to know about the present and future of veterinary care is here in London!” Sebastiaan Dörr, ACM at Zoetis BV

Reflecting on a Milestone Year.

A highlight of the 15th-anniversary celebrations was a star-studded panel from the Royal Veterinary College featuring speakers from the first London Vet Show in 2009.  Reuniting for a special reflective session, they guided attendees through the evolution of the profession and the remarkable progress made since that inaugural event.

In a heartfelt tribute to Lisa Millela, one of the original speakers, the show made donations to the Motor Neurone Disease Association and International Animal Rescue.

An Exceptional Exhibition Experience

The exhibition floor buzzed with energy, featuring 402 exhibitors from industry leaders to innovative start-ups. It fostered connections, collaboration, and inspiration for the profession's future. Highlights included interactive demos, cutting-edge technologies, surgical advancements, imaging tools, and sustainability solutions, offering a glimpse into what’s to come.

Tash Whitehouse, Associate Brand Manager at Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health UK Ltd, said: “It is always a great show! Getting to connect with colleagues and customers in the biggest UK vet show of the year is always engaging, and I love to meet likeminded people.”

“London Vet Show is by far the busiest veterinary event of the year. There is no better place to connect with your existing customers and make new connections, so for us we need to be there. I would recommend LVS to any supplier who wants to grow and establish their business in the vet market,” added Petter McGilloway, Managing Director of Celtic SMR.

15 Years and Beyond.

Attendees left feeling inspired, with fresh perspectives, new connections, and a sense of pride in both the 15-year history of the Vet Show and the bright future of the veterinary profession.

Penny Morgan, Vet Surgeon at PDSA summed up: "Still the UK's leading veterinary event, with something for everyone at every stage of their career in the veterinary industry. The UK vet melting pot where all voices can be heard.”

Kimberly Anderson, Veterinary Technician at Hometown Veterinary added: “I travelled across an ocean for the show and it was worth it! I enjoyed every bit.”

The event celebrated all that has been achieved and all that lies ahead for this remarkable community.

As Chris Murphy, Director of Donaldson’s Vets said: “A highlight of the year...for the lecture content, the chance to catch up with old friends and for exploring future innovation on the exhibition floor.”

The London Vet Show returns on 20-21 November 2025 at ExCeL London, and BVA Live will take place on 12-13 June at the NEC Birmingham.
