Avant launches class-leading, pocket-sized veterinary therapy laser at the London Vet Show
Avant Wellness Systems UK has announced the UK launch of the Avant LZ30 ProZ-Vet, a next-generation Class 3B veterinary therapy laser designed to make photobiomodulation (PBM) simpler, faster and more effective for everyday veterinary practice.
The debut takes place at the London Vet Show, Stand G71, with live demos, a £1,000 show discount and a prize draw to win a free laser for visitors to the stand.
PBM is rapidly moving from “nice-to-have” to standard of care in UK vet practices as teams look for modalities that reliably reduce pain and inflammation, speed wound and post-surgical recovery, and support better rehabilitation outcomes. Class 3B systems, supported by a deep body of research, are increasingly the modality of choice for integrating laser therapy into routine protocols.
Engineered and manufactured in California, the Avant laser combines red (637 nm) and infrared (808 nm) wavelengths with class-leading output (1,000 mW red and 1,350 mW infrared) in a device that fits in your pocket. It is cordless, whisper-quiet, and ergonomic, with a long-life battery and numerous built-in presets plus a Favourites list for rapid access - so clinicians can treat in around five to ten minutes and keep the focus on the patient, not the settings. The result is a compact, versatile tool that practitioners say they “just love” to use - equally at home in the clinic, on wards or in the field.
LVS attendees are invited to an in-depth, real-world look at PBM in practice: “From extraordinary to everyday: How photobiomodulation became part of my practice” with Dr Gregor Leist (Veterinarian & Animal-Osteopath) on Thursday 20 November, 16:00–16:50, in Exhibitor Showcase Theatre 1. Dr Leist will share vet practice-based, case-led reasoning and outcomes across pain management, post-op recovery, infection control and neurological applications - and will be available afterwards on Stand G71 for follow-up discussion and hands-on demos.
“Effective tools should be powerful, safe and easy to use,” said Julia Hewitson MCSP, ACPAT Cat A, of HewMed Distributors. “The Avant LZ30 ProZ-Vet delivers that in a compact, cordless form - making it straightforward for teams to add laser therapy to existing treatment plans and see the difference it makes to patient comfort and recovery.”
“We built Avant to take the complexity and bulk out of laser therapy,” added Andy Hewitson, Avant’s founder and electronics engineer. “Clinicians asked for grab-and-go simplicity without compromising performance. The ProZ-Vet is the answer.”
Test the pocket-sized Avant LZ30 ProZ-Vet, get hands-on guidance, and meet Dr Gregor Leist after his 16:00 Thursday talk. Find us at Stand G71 to secure the show-only £1,000 discount and enter the draw to win a free laser, with on-stand demos all day.
The Avant LZ30 ProZ-Vet is distributed in the UK by HewMed Distributors with training, resources and a comprehensive five-year warranty.
