BARD s.r.o. to Bring Its Patented "Clever fungus" Technology to London Vet Show 2026
Bio Agens Research and Development - BARD s.r.o., the natural care brand behind a patented biotechnology used in veterinary practice for over 15 years, will exhibit at London Vet Show 2026. Visitors to the stand can discover its full range for dogs, cats, horses, small animals and livestock, built around Pythium oligandrum – a living microorganism nicknamed the “Clever fungus” that actively hunts down harmful yeasts and fungi without the use of harsh chemicals.
At the core of the range is Pythium oligandrum, strain M1 – a living microorganism nicknamed the “Clever fungus”. Acting as a natural mycoparasite, it actively hunts down harmful yeasts and fungi and also breaks down bacterial protective biofilm, then dies off once its food source is gone. Because the mechanism is biological rather than chemical, pathogens cannot build resistance, animals cannot overdose, and products are safe even if licked immediately after use ("Lick-Safe").
For more advanced cases, BARD also offers two professional-grade products. Ecosin effervescent tablets dissolve in water to prepare a biological bath, spray or compress for extensive fungal and yeast infections, dermatophytosis, hot spots and hoof rot – suitable for dogs, cats, horses, cattle, and small animals. Dermasin Oil is a concentrated care oil (with olive oil, vitamin E and eucalyptus oil) for dry, atopic, allergic or chronically irritated skin, yeast and fungal lesions and localised hair loss, used alone or as a targeted follow-up after an Ecosin bath.
Alongside these, the everyday Shroom Buddy range – ear drops, Fresh Breath dental drops, paw balm and Shroombox gift sets – supports daily prevention for dogs and cats, while Shroom Buddy Horses hoof balm is designed for everyday equine care.
