Join BIOME9 at the London Vet Show 2025 to explore how microbiome science is shaping the future of veterinary care. Our team will be sharing new research exploring links between the canine gut microbiome and gastric, dermatological, and neurological health, with pre-prints available for discussion.

We’re inviting sign-ups for our accredited Microbiome CPD for Veterinary Professionals, designed to turn complex science into practical, clinical understanding.

Don’t miss Dr Bushra Schuitemaker, Head of Science and Research at BIOME9, presenting “Dysbiosis Decoded” on Friday 21st November at 12pm, a session unpacking the science behind common gut health buzzwords and what they really mean for diagnostics, diet, and wellbeing.

Visit our stand to meet the team, discover the latest microbiome insights, and explore how BIOME9 can support your clinic’s approach to canine gut health.

BIOME9 empowers veterinary professionals to translate microbiome science into everyday clinical care. At London Vet Show 2025, the BIOME9 team will share the latest findings linking the canine gut microbiome to gastric, dermatological, and neurological health, and discuss pre-print data with vets and researchers.

The gut microbiome is the community of microorganisms living in the digestive tract and plays a key role in immunity, inflammation, digestion, allergies, and intolerances. BIOME9’s GutDiscovery® testing service analyses this community to provide a detailed picture of gut health, supporting both preventative and reactive care.

GutDiscovery® is particularly valuable for dogs with chronic or idiopathic digestive or skin issues, a history of antibiotic use, an unknown medical history (such as rehomed dogs), or recurrent and non-responsive symptoms. As a complementary diagnostic tool and adjunct to therapy, GutDiscovery® helps vets address complex cases by adding a new layer of insight into gut function and balance.

Using a simple, non-invasive at-home sampling method, the test has now been performed on more than 2,000 dogs across the UK, creating one of the most comprehensive canine gut microbiome databases available. The service delivers actionable insights into gut balance, diversity, and resilience, empowering veterinary professionals to make informed clinical decisions and guide dietary or probiotic interventions with greater confidence and less trial-and-error.
