BVA Live 2024 opens doors to more veterinary professionals than ever with new Educational Bursaries Scheme
More veterinary professionals will be able to access world class CPD at BVA Live in 2024 as CloserStill Media and the British Veterinary Association (BVA) partner to launch new Educational Bursaries. In addition, BVA Live will be expanding its clinical CPD in 2024 to include large animal content.
BVA Live is an annual two-day conference and exhibition for all veterinary professionals taking place on 6-7 June 2024 in Birmingham. With a strong focus on topical debate, clinical education, innovation, and business development, it features a choice of more than 100 hours of CPD-accredited content, practical workshops, and networking opportunities with industry-leading experts.
The new fully funded Educational Bursaries Scheme for BVA Live 2024 will enable 2,000 veterinary professionals, including BVA members, to attend the conference once their application has been accepted. The Bursaries will be offered to UK veterinary professional who previously attended BVA Live and the London Vet Show, and are intended to widen access to enhanced educational opportunities.
Aidan Gibbs, Event Director of BVA Live said: “With the introduction of our Educational Bursaries Scheme, we aim to empower the veterinary profession to unlock their full potential, create opportunities, and make a positive impact on our communities.”
“As an organisation, we are committed to fostering education and networking, and in doing so we recognise financial barriers as well as encouraging individuals to access educational events who might not attend otherwise.”
Responding to BVA member research, this year’s clinical programme is being widened to ensure it appeals to as many members of the profession as possible. BVA is collaborating with its specialist divisions to create a brand-new large animal stream that will ensure there is something for the whole profession and for vets at every stage of their career.
British Veterinary Association President Malcolm Morley said: “BVA Live has firmly established itself in the veterinary conference calendar. With such high-quality CPD, including the new large animal stream, plus lots of topical debate, I’m so pleased that with the new Educational Bursaries Scheme we can open it up to even more members of the veterinary professions.”
BVA Live 2024 will be back on 6-7 June 2024 at the NEC Birmingham. Delegates who do not secure Educational Bursaries can still purchase a ticket (£299 + VAT) and BVA members will receive a 50% discount.
