Celebrating Our Incredible 30 Under Thirty Cohort at the London Vet Show
Strength and Resilience
We’d like to send our heartfelt support to Jade Gilmore, who has shown incredible courage following a serious accident last year. After a long recovery, Jade is now back on her feet and continuing to make great progress. We wish her all the very best on her journey ahead.
Making a Global Impact
Izzy Hocking took her passion for veterinary education international, spending a week in Kenya organising a workshop to train vets from around the world. Supported by the BEVA Trust, Izzy’s work embodies the spirit of collaboration that defines our profession.
Bouncing Back and Building Forward
After facing redundancy, Alice Barker demonstrated remarkable resilience and positivity. She’s now thriving in her new role as Business Development Executive at Modeus — a brilliant example of turning challenges into new opportunities.
Rising Leaders and Recognised Voices
Matt Macaulay was elected to the BVNA Council, showing his commitment to shaping the future of veterinary nursing.
Lauryn Reed’s writing excellence shone through as she was named VNJ Writer of the Year — a well-deserved recognition of her talent and voice.
Life’s Joyful Moments
It’s been a wonderful year of celebrations too!
Georgie Barry married in August, and Jake Pye in October — congratulations to both!
And we’re thrilled for Imogen Cumberworth, who is expecting her second baby this month. While we’ll miss her at LVS, we’re so happy for her growing family.
Looking Ahead to LVS 2025

This year brings even more to look forward to, with Molly Fiander hosting the first-ever Locum Zone at the London Vet Show — a brand-new space celebrating the vital work of locum professionals.
Here’s to another inspiring year of learning, connection, and celebrating every success — big and small — from our amazing 30 Under Thirty community.
