Dechra hosts exclusive CPD sessions at LVS

The CPD sessions cover a range of exciting topics for
companion animal veterinary professionals including small animal sedation,
otitis externa and two talks on Cushing’s syndrome in dogs, due to similar
sessions being over-subscribed in previous years.
- 10:00 to 10:50 on Thursday 20th November - ‘Cushing’s case headaches? Get effective relief in just 45 minutes’ presented by Jamie Walker MA VetMB MRCVS, veterinary technical services manager at Dechra
- 15:15 to 16:05 on Thursday 20th November - ‘Sedation in focus: real cases, new thinking, better outcomes’ presented by Toby Trimble BVM BVS BVMedSci MVM Dip. ECVAA MRCVS RCVS and EBVS specialist in veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia
- 11:00 to 11:50 on Friday 21st November – for delegates who missed out on the Thursday session, a second session on ‘Cushing’s case headaches? Get effective relief in just 45 minutes’ presented by Jamie Walker MA VetMB MRCVS, veterinary technical services manager at Dechra
- 14:00 to 14:50 on Friday 21st November - ‘Ear-resistible insights into yeast-only otitis externa’ presented by Darragh O’Hanlon BA Int MVB MRCVS CertVD, veterinary surgeon at Nutgrove Veterinary Hospital in Dublin
Delegates who attend one or more of the sessions will be
entered into a prize draw to win an experience of their choice. There will be
four winners and the prizes available are: a ticket to next year’s London Vet
Show; a one-year National Trust membership or a six-month JD Gyms membership.
The CPD sessions are available on a first come, first served basis and are
expected to be well attended, so please get there early!
The company is also sponsoring two of the main programme sessions
at LVS on Thursday 20th November. Between 15:30 and 16:20, Johanna
Kaartinen MRCVS dipECVAA MSc PhD
FHEA and Jake Leech BVetMed MRCVS from RVC will be
presenting ‘Pain-free gallop: mastering local and systemic analgesia in
horses’ in RVC Equine Theatre 2, while Sam Taylor BVetMed(Hons) CertSAM
DipECVIM-CA MANZCVS FRCVS, veterinary specialist consultant at iCatCare,
will be presenting ‘Managing the older cat – complex cases with
co-morbidities’ between 15:00 and 15:50 in RVC Clinical Theatre 2.
During LVS, visitors to Dechra’s stand (stand P30) will be
able to learn more about the company’s innovative new first-line otitis externa
treatment and delegates can have a go on the company’s digital Spin the Wheel
game to win a plethora of prizes.
