Good Deed Feed: VDS as committed as ever in supporting the veterinary team

Recently the Vet world has seen a lot of rapid change, and a lot of challenges. However, there has also been compassion, humanity, hard work and excellence bubbling up in vet hubs around the UK. We’ve reached out to some of Europe’s key veterinary suppliers to hear about the positive changes they have made to help best serve veterinary practices and practitioners in recent months. This series – Good Deed Feed – will explore some of the cases of best practice.

This week, we caught up with Carolyne Crowe from VDS Training to hear more about three great initiatives they invented during lockdown which you can benefit from now…

"I am really proud of what we have created and how we continue to help our members during these uncertain times. Standing by our members side, being the trusted partner in their roles, supporting, protecting and being there for them is at the core of who we are and what we do at the VDS," said Crowe.

What the attendees have been saying:

"The VDS webinars have been brilliant!  Love how practical and positive they have been, realising i'm not alone in how i am thinking but also getting practical tips and tools to make it easier is just waht i need right now, thank you."

"Thank you for the webinar this evening Carolyne - I had felt slightly paralysed and your session has given me confidence to lead the team despite not knowing exactly where we are going. You were so right that it is critical keep communication up between the team. So much good advice."

SUNDAY SURGERIES

One of the first initiatives VDS started during the lockdown pandemic was Sunday Surgeries – live on Sunday nights from 7-8 pm. They are relevant, discussion-based webinars on any theme facing the profession at any one time. They’ve been attended by up to 2300 live and 7500 views and reached over 14,000 members of the professions with their Covid initiatives.  Whether it’s ethical/moral dilemmas, telemedicine, self-care, navigating the new normal, teams test track and trace – it has or will be discussed on Sunday nights!
