IVC Evidensia announces London Vet Show ‘shake-up’
To celebrate the fact that this year’s London Vet Show is going ahead in person, IVC Evidensia has decided to shake things up a little with their lecture streams.
Their plan, for both their small animal Referrals and Equine referrals lectures, is to have a series of topics, relevant to both first opinion vets and nurses, with specialists from different disciplines talking about how they would approach that topic.
Each specialist will speak for a half hour slot about the topic from their point of view. Their lectures will be practically-focused with the aim of helping first opinion vets and nurses understand how specialists asses cases and make decisions.
For example: Collapse is one of the subjects that will be covered. The stream will include lectures from a neurologist, a cardiologist and an ECC specialist.
Each of the lectures has been designed to be concise and to-the-point, with the opportunity for delegates to ask questions at the end. Once the lectures on each topic have finished, the speakers will be available on the IVC Evidensia stand for delegates to meet and have a chat with.
The lectures will be held upstairs in one of the larger theatres as always, to allow enough room for all delegates wishing to attend.
Richard Artingstall (MBA, MA, Vet MB, CertSAS, MRCVS, RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery), of Vale Referrals and the IVC Evidensia Referrals Strategy Group, said,
“Working our Referrals and Equine streams like this gives delegates the opportunity to gain a real insight, from different disciplines, into how our Specialists work upup a case.”
The speakers are all specialists from within the IVC Evidensia network including:
- Jane Ladlow MA VetMB DipECVS CertSAS CertVR MRCVS RCVS and EBVS® European Specialist in Small Animal Surgery (Soft Tissue) of Hamilton Specialist Referrals
- Nadia Shihab MA VetMB DipECVN MRCVS RCVS Specialist in Neurology, EBVS® European Specialist in Veterinary Neurology of Southern Counties Veterinary Specialists
- Referral Surgical Nurse, Steven Murphy (DipAVN(Small Animal) DipHECVN RVN) of Vets Now
Richard went on to say,
“It also helps IVC Evidensia showcase the collaboration between practitioners within our network, both referral and first opinion, along with the expertise we have. I think it will be incredibly useful for all delegates and I can’t wait to be there.”
