KRKA UK and Professor Stuart Carmichael lead LVS session on rethinking canine osteoarthritis
With a focus on early intervention and setting patients up for success from a
young age, Professor Carmichael will share strategies for lifelong management,
including the role of owner education, appropriate diagnostics, and a balanced
approach to pain relief, from established options to emerging therapies.
Professor Carmichael commented,
“Osteoarthritis remains one of the most common and challenging conditions seen
in general practice. Our aim is to give veterinary teams the confidence to
recognise and manage OA earlier, using practical, evidence-based tools that fit
real-world consults.”
Joining Professor Carmichael will be Renzo
Di Florio MRCVS, KRKA Technical Veterinary Adviser, who will complement the
session with insights from first-opinion practice. Together, they will connect
scientific understanding with day-to-day clinical application, offering
veterinary teams clear, actionable strategies for managing OA more effectively.
Visitors to Stand U50 can also meet the KRKA
UK team and learn more about its growing veterinary portfolio and educational
initiatives, including the recently launched
OA factsheet series and webinar on the KRKA Veterinary
Knowledge Hub.
