KVP Introduces BetterWrap™: A Sustainable, PLA-Based Cohesive Bandage for Veterinary Practices Worldwide
BetterWrap™ by KVP Renewables is a next-generation PLA cohesive bandage wrap designed for sustainability and everyday clinical reliability. Available in 2" neon colours, BetterWrap™ breaks down in 3–6 months under landfill, recycling, or industrial composting conditions—yet remains completely stable in storage and patient use.
KVP International continues to drive sustainability forward in the veterinary sector with the forthcoming launch of BetterWrap, a next-generation PLA cohesive wrap engineered to reduce environmental impact without compromising performance. Following the strong global adoption of BetterGloves, KVP’s biodegradable nitrile examination gloves, BetterWrap marks the company’s latest advancement in its mission to deliver more sustainable everyday consumables to veterinary teams worldwide.
KVP International is pleased to announce BetterWrap, a plant-based PLA cohesive bandage wrap offering veterinary professionals a durable, dependable, and environmentally responsible alternative to conventional synthetic wrap products.

BetterWrap is formulated using PLA (polylactic acid), a biopolymer derived from renewable resources. After disposal, BetterWrap is designed to break down within 3–6 months when exposed to conditions commonly found in landfills, industrial composting facilities, or standard recycling environments. Importantly, the material remains completely shelf-stable, ensuring no premature softening, breakdown, or loss of cohesion during storage or patient application.

The product will be available globally in two core veterinary sizes:

  • 2" BetterWrap – offered in bright neon colours, ideal for small animal and routine clinical use
  • 4" BetterWrap – available in primary colours plus black, suited for larger patients and more robust applications

Pricing for BetterWrap will remain in line with current non-biodegradable veterinary wrap materials, ensuring sustainability does not come at a premium.

BetterWrap joins KVP’s expanding BetterGoods sustainability portfolio—which includes the market-leading BetterGloves—and underscores the company’s long-term commitment to reducing the environmental impact of common veterinary consumables.

Attendees at London Vet Show can preview the product and learn more about KVP’s sustainability initiatives and global expansion strategy.
