Molly Varga Smith and Craig Tessyman team up at London Vet Show to improve clinical outcomes for small pets
The session, sponsored by Supreme Petfoods, will also
feature Craig Tessyman CertAPVN(Zoo) DipVNZS RVN, Exotics Nurse at The Exotic
Animal Vets, Manchester. Together, Molly and Craig will use case examples to explore
how environmental, nutritional, and enrichment strategies can support recovery
and improve outcomes in rabbits, guinea pigs and other small pets.
Molly says, “When rabbits and rodents are admitted for
treatment, it’s easy to focus solely on the presenting condition. Yet their
recovery depends on more than resolving a clinical issue - it also depends on
meeting their nutritional and environmental needs throughout care. In this
session, we’ll share practical tips and show how thoughtful,
species-appropriate support can transform outcomes.”
Molly Varga Smith is Head Vet at The Exotic Animal Vets, an
independent specialist practice caring for exotic species. She is widely
recognised for her expertise in rabbit medicine and surgery and has contributed
extensively to veterinary education in exotic animal care.
Claire Hamblion, Marketing Director at Supreme Petfoods,
said, “We’re delighted to have Molly back at the London Vet Show. Her
experience and insight are invaluable – she and Craig always offer clear,
practical takeaways drawn from their wealth of combined experience. It’s a
must-see session for any vet who has small pets on their consult list.”
The talk, which counts for one hour of CPD, will be held on 20th
November at 12.50pm in the Gallery Suite 22. For those unable to attend the
live event, a recorded version of the presentation will be available on the
Supreme Vet
Zone.
