Supreme Search Specialists (SSS) has been established for over 5 years, and their founder John Read has been working in Veterinary for almost 10 years. They were recently dubbed “The Friendly Recruiter” and are one of the most recognised faces within Veterinary recruitment. Their person-centred approach to recruitment has been a refreshing concept. Within the last 5 years Supreme Search Specialists has gone from strength to strength. They have grown into a globally recognised and respected veterinary recruitment company, operating across multiple countries, and are now one of the worlds most trusted Veterinary recruitment agencies.

John Read has spoken this year at both New York Vet Show and London Vet Show. The panel discussions have been focused on both recruitment and retention. He has shared his extensive and varied knowledge with attendees, and has focused the talks around having open discussions with staff. This, in conjunction with the correct practice management systems, will help to retain staff and create more stable teams and a more settled industry as a whole. John is also due to speak on the same topics at VMX in Florida in 2025.

What does their founder John Read say about his team?

Firstly, I see all of my team as members of the Supreme family. The success of the company has not just come from the work I have done, but I owe a lot to the continued dedication of all my team. My brother-in-law Nick Gray joined in 2020 and has been instrumental to the company culture. By being a family run company, we are able to set a culture that focusses on truly caring about everyone who works with us. I have a deep love and respect for everyone who works for SSS on our recruitment teams, and all the support staff that have helped me to see my dream of creating a lovely place to work, come to life.
