Are you looking forward to this year’s London Vet Show?
I’ve been coming to the show for many years – since the days at Olympia – and it’s always one of the highlights of my year. Last year’s show was particularly enjoyable as it was the first year we had a significant presence at the show and introduced our first products to the market. It was great to talk to so many vets, nurses and other industry figures about who Accord are and our ambitious plans for the future. This year will be even better as our number of products on display enters double figures and we also launch our first licensed medicines.
Why should people come and visit Accord’s stand?
To learn about our existing product range and the exciting new products – both nutraceutical/supplements as well as licensed veterinary medicines – that we’re launching at the show. Come and talk to our team about our plans for the future and how we promise to support vets, veterinary practices, and their customers. We’re also going to have a bit of fun. Bring a photo of your pet to our stand (ideally on your phone) and our artist will draw a portrait of him or her for you, and completely free of charge! Share the photo on social media and you could be in with a chance of winning a photoshoot for your pet!
What products will you be promoting?
Our current portfolio consists of Vivinicord Chews® – low calorie dental chews containing astaxanthin, fucoidan and Chinese Indigo; PerNic® Cox – a joint supplement paste containing cold-pressed green lipped mussel oil; and the vitamin and amino acid supplement Multi-cord Vet®. We’ll be expanding our over-the-counter range with a range of products covering areas such as dental, stomach, gut and liver health. We’ll also be introducing our first licensed medicines consisting of anaesthetic and analgesic products.
What will Accord’s focus be for the future?
Our approach is to deliver innovative, high-quality products that simplify care and enhance the bond between veterinary professionals and their patients. We really want to add value to everyone in the supply chain and be seen to demonstrate that consistently. We started off launching over-the-counter products as it is quicker to bring them to market. What will follow is a range of licensed medicines. We’re starting with generics of familiar products – where we’re aiming to make them cost effective but also improve them in some way where possible – for example by improving compliance by making a product easier to administer – oral liquid formulations for cats are a classic example. Further down the line we’ll be launching novel treatments to meet unfulfilled needs. We’re always listening to the market and plan on building an advisory board next year; so if there are any products you’d like to see in the future – come and speak to us!
