Speaker in the Spolight: Duncan Lascelles
The London Vet Show is delighted to introduce this week's Speaker in the Spotlight: Dr Duncan Lascelles, BSc BVSc PhD MRCVS CertVA DSAS(ST) DECVS DACVS, Professor of Small Animal Surgery and Pain Management, Translational Research in Pain Programme, North Carolina State University
Dr Lascelles is flying in from North Carolina State Unversity for the London Vet Show and will be presenting 2 sessions.
Dr. Lascelles is Professor in Small Animal Surgery and Pain Management at North Carolina State University. His research program develops methods to measure pain associated with spontaneous disease in animals, and seeks to understand the underlying neurobiology. His work improves pain control in companion animals, and facilitates analgesic development in human medicine. He is director of the Comparative Pain Research and Education Centre (CPREC) and the Translational Research in Pain [TRiP] Program. He has authored over 180 peer reviewed research papers and reviews and 190 research abstracts, as well as over 30 book chapters.
