The Pet Euthanasia People bring dedicated in-home euthanasia support to London Vet Show 2025, Stand U28

The Pet Euthanasia People (PEP) will be at London Vet Show 2025 for the first time, showcasing a simple way for practices to offer calm, in-home euthanasia without stretching already pressured teams.

With more clients embracing the humanisation of their pets, demand for home visits at the end of life is rising fast. Many practices would like to offer this as part of a gold standard end of life pathway, but struggle with limited vet time, travel, scheduling and the emotional toll on their own staff.

PEP provides a structured, clinically led in-home euthanasia service that practices can refer into as a natural extension of their own protocols. Independent vets within the PEP network carry out gentle, unhurried visits in the pet's home, while PEP manages the logistics, client liaison and crematorium partnership on the practice's behalf.

"We know how important it is for practices to stay close to their clients at the hardest moments," said Jennie Johnson MBE, CEO of The Pet Euthanasia People. "Our role is to sit alongside the first opinion team, not replace it, so that together we can give every pet and family a peaceful goodbye and protect that long term client relationship."

Behaviour change data shows that a significant proportion of owners consider changing practice after a difficult euthanasia experience or because they cannot face returning to the building where their pet died. By offering a calm home option, practices can reduce this risk, support grief more compassionately and demonstrate that they truly understand what matters to modern pet owners.

For vets, the model is designed with wellbeing in mind. PEP provides clear clinical guidelines, emotional support and full administrative back up, so that in-home euthanasia can be delivered safely, consistently and with space for good communication.

"We want every vet to feel proud of the euthanasia experiences they are part of," added Mike Crawford, COO. "A peaceful home goodbye can be one of the kindest appointments we ever do, and it should feel that way for the vet as well as for the family."
