When a case needs more: working together through specialist referral
DNA Vetcare
Stand: W50
When you should consider referring a case
Referring a case allows your patient to access expertise,
equipment and procedures not always available in general practice. We recommend
a veterinary referral when:
·
A diagnosis remains unclear
·
Advanced imaging (MRI/CT) or specialist
diagnostics are needed
·
The case involves complex surgery or internal
medicine
·
You need input from board-certified specialists
·
A patient is not responding as expected to
first-line treatment
Choosing the right referral vet is critical - not only for
patient outcomes, but for the confidence of the referring vet and pet owner
alike.
We’re more than a referral centre - we’re a clinical
partner. Here’s what we offer:
- Comprehensive
services: across ophthalmology, soft tissue, orthopaedics, outpatient
MRI and CT and neurology
- Advanced
facilities: including on-site MRI and CT scanner
- Fast
access to appointments: with efficient triage for urgent cases
- Clear,
detailed communication: before, during, and after referral
- Tailored
treatment plans: that respect the individual needs of your patient and
client
- A
collaborative ethos: treating every referral as a shared
responsibility
- Support:
with insurance and direct claims, when appropriate
