Dr. Monteiro is a veterinarian with a PhD in chronic pain and board certification by the American College of Animal Welfare. She has acted as the Chair of the WSAVA Pain Committee, authored nearly 80 peer-reviewed publications and lectured in numerous international conferences. After having spent most of her career at the University of Montreal, Dr. Monteiro has recently joined Zoetis to work within the Global Medica Affairs as a Director of Veterinary Operations – Pain.
