A highly respected veterinary nurse with more than 30 years’ experience in veterinary nursing, emergency and critical care, education, leadership and professional governance. She achieved the RCVS Advanced Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Surgical) in 2004 and, in 2006, became the first person in England to achieve the American Veterinary Technician Specialist qualification in Emergency and Critical Care.
Belinda has held senior clinical, educational and leadership roles, including within the Emergency and Critical Care Department at the Queen Mother Hospital for Animals, Royal Veterinary College. She is currently Head of Nursing Operations at HelloVet, where she continues to support the development and delivery of high-quality veterinary nursing and clinical services.
A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, Belinda also holds postgraduate qualifications in veterinary education, as well as leadership and management qualifications as a CMI Fellow with Chartered Manager status. She is a recognised national and international speaker and has contributed extensively to veterinary nursing education and professional development, including authoring chapters in BSAVA nursing manuals.
Belinda has also served on RCVS Veterinary Nurses Council, including as Chair, and is widely recognised for her contribution to advancing the role, recognition and professional voice of veterinary nurses.
