Dr Ben Hanning is Chief Executive Officer of VetThing, the UK veterinary group launched as the country brand of pan-European operator Vetopia. A vet by training and an experienced healthcare executive, he spent the past decade in senior leadership roles across some of the largest groups in the veterinary and dental profession before founding VetThing in 2025. He has built a partnership model in which founding vets join as partners rather than sellers, keeping local leadership and clinical autonomy while gaining the backing of a wider European group. His focus is long term thinking and psychological safety for veterinary teams. Ben qualified at Cambridge.
