Dr Bushra Schuitemaker is Head of Science and Research at BIOME9, specialising in the microbiome and One Health. She holds a PhD in microbiology and zoology from the Quadram Institute, where her research focused on poultry gut health, bioinformatics, and molecular biology. Her earlier work includes roles at the Wellcome Trust and Cancer Research UK in drug discovery and comparative medicine.
