Caroline Goulton graduated with honours from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 1998. She worked for five years in a busy mixed practice before becoming a 100% small animal vet. Caroline passed her certificate in small animal medicine in 2006 and has a particular interest in internal medicine. Caroline joined Guide Dogs in January 2023 and was promoted to Veterinary Services Lead in November 2024. Caroline is responsible for health and husbandry decisions for the 7,000 dogs that Guide Dogs own and is passionate about providing excellent veterinary care for them. Caroline leads a team of 12 vets and nurses, providing care at two Guide Dogs' in-house clinics. She also offers clinical support to colleagues managing dogs receiving treatment from our external veterinary partners across the four nations.
