Carrie qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2013 and has been working in oncology at the Royal Veterinary College for the past 10 years. Her passion lies in palliative care, supporting both patients and their families to ensure a dignified death. Together with her dedicated colleagues, she is currently setting up a palliative care clinic within the department. Carrie hopes to expand this initiative across other services in the future, with the aim of creating a hospital-wide palliative care team. At home, she is a busy mum to two children and three cats. In her spare time, she enjoys cycling through the countryside, reading crime fiction, and cooking for friends and family.
